Is anybody going to watch Micah.P.Hinson at the Troubadour tonight? I have been obsessed with his record for about a year, and then I watched him play in Austin earlier this year. It was so incredible. I rushed home to the Austin friends I was staying with and demanded that they go into their sleeping 11 year old sons room and get his cello so that I could learn the parts to the song "I still remember" and demanded that they accompany on the guitar. Of course, it took me days... and I persisted much to their frustration. But becasue I was a house guest I think they felt obliged to entertain me! I even didnt let their son take his cello to school one day!

The result is that I can play one song on the cello, have the biggest crush on Micah.P.Hinson and have eternally tarned one Austin couples impression of Australians!

I think i will die tonight. I think Micah is a ginger. I love gingers so! What should I wear? Is anyone else going? Help!

EDIT: OK, close up photos on the internet have now revealed that Micah looks like a cross between Eminem and Ben Lee. He also has a big stretchy ear ring. I dont like those. He is so dumped. He will probably still make me cry.

EDIT OF THE EDIT: Ok no, eminem and ben lee are fine. Stretchy ear rings are fine. Micah is damn fine. Yup, I had a lump in my throat. The girl sitting beside me summed it up perfectly when she said "Isnt he just a button?"

Micah was wonderful. My girlfriend and all my female friends who went seem to have a crush on him. But after a show like that, I might also, remains to be seen? He was a nice lad too, funny... I found your journal linked to Ben Rational's, random LJ linking is fun. I'm Nick, do I know you?

Im not sure. Im Libby, so the stereohog and live to air programs on Zed, do music photography and Im on the Lady Fest comittee. How about you? God, I know, Micah was so lovely. Did you notice him wearing a Ladyfest button on his cap? Hehe

Did we meet at the 610 ladyfest show, by any chance? I'm the guy doing all the work at 610...

Micah bought my girlfriend a drink, that was awkward, but his heart apparently resides with Holly Throsby. And how could you not love her, really?

heya,

its a bit late, but i wanted to write and thank you for being into my music. what show did you see in austin? i love that town. i also like australia. it was one wild time. pilled fucked and jet lagged: good times. the shows all went well and i am a big fan of most all australians. hopefully i will be back middle of next year. take care.

Nice to hear from you! Girls don't speak cos I keep shy company. You were 10,000 miles away from home and you knew no-one, I think you were allowed to be awkward. Come back some time?
